Diamyd Medical AB (publ), a Swedish company founded in Stockholm in 1984, specializes in developing innovative treatments for autoimmune diabetes. Formerly known as Diamyd Therapeutics AB until its name change in April 2013, the company is advancing two key therapeutic candidates. Its flagship product, Diamyd, is an antigen-specific immunotherapy vaccine for diabetes currently undergoing Phase IIb clinical studies for both type 1 diabetes and latent autoimmune diabetes. Additionally, Remygen, an oral drug candidate with regenerative and immunomodulatory properties, is progressing through Phase I/II clinical trials for the treatment of autoimmune and type 2 diabetes.
